Management of Portfolios
Management of Portfolios is the top of the hierachy in the series of certifications related to project management.
Portfolios are the permanent collection(s) of change initiatives in an organization. Unlike projects and programmes, a portfolio is permanent. Within a portfolio, programmes, projects and operational level changes come and go. The portfolio itself changes according to circumstances and strategic needs of the organization.
This is the level where there is more concern with the link between the change initiatives and the BAU or business-as-usual parts of the organization.
